As many may know Vince Colston/Fresh The Dj was struck by a car and nearly lost his life in September 2020, given an 8% chance of survival. His mother Lisa, has publicly shown the world a family’s love and fight to save their son. After an 11-month hospital stay, traumatic brain injury, and many other health risks, they defied the odds and increased survival to 100%.
Lisa has founded a 501c nonprofit organization “ Operation ReFresh” and is in the process of opening “ReFresh Health & Wellness, a facility geared to assist anyone impacted by life-altering physical trauma. The mission goes beyond providing rehabilitation therapy and resources. Not focusing on a diagnosis, just results. Her goal is to create an environment that motivates everyone entering the door. There is a huge gap left when it comes to insurance coverage in our community and Lisa has been filling gaps to ensure, no one is left behind in their recovery journey. Lisa says, “I thought my purpose was to save my son, and it was, but not only him. Through this journey, I’ve discovered a greater calling. I’m led to help others also, proving with faith and work together! We can move mountains.”
